Modell eines Altares

6. - 5. Jh. v. Chr.

The votive altar, with a rectangular foundation is framed above and below with a projected profile, made out of a single continuous band. On the main side of the altar, in the slightly sunken upper half, are two fluted-palm ornaments which are characteristic of Cyprus and hark back to earlier Phoenician examples.
