Kännchen der Red Slip Phoenician Ware

7. Jh. v. Chr.

The juglet is of a common Phoenician type, appearing on Cyprus after 700 B. C. for approximately the whole of the seventh century. The whole surface is covered with a red-brown, stroke-polished slip. Pear-shaped body with a carinated shoulder, long neck with convex sides, mushroom-shaped mouth, small handle from lower part of neck to shoulder, ring base with a knob in the center.
