Doppelkonischer Gefäßkörper

2000 - 1800 v. Chr.

The juglet is a common type of red polished ware III. However, the biconical form of the Vienna juglet is rare. It has a double-conical, flattened body with a round bottom; the slightly convex, and carinated shoulder forms an edge. At the top a narrow, long, cylindrical neck with a round, funnel mouth. A flat vertical handle with a round cross-section extends from the middle of the shoulder to the lower third of the neck. The simply relief decoration forms a horizontal band on the shoulder, interrupted in the area of the handle.
