Stehende Frau
1. Hälfte 5. Jh. v. Chr.
Figurine of a standing, draped female figure. Mold-made. Facial details slightly damaged. A fringe of hair below a high conical veil. Three locks of hair fall on each shoulder, above the breasts. She wears a chiton and a himation in the fashion of the Archaic Greek kore. The himation folds fall vertically along the right half of the body. The chiton is short sleeved, with its folds rendered with shallow grooves. With the left hand, which is stretched along the side of the body, she holds the edge of the drapery. The right arm is bent, with the right hand holding an object that is now unidentifiable. The drapery was retouched after molding. The back side is plain. The figure stands on a high circular, roughly rendered plinth, with the feet hardly indicated below the lower border of the chiton. No traces of painted decoration.
