Form eines Vogels
1125 - 1050 v. Chr.
Flattened boat-shaped body, upright neck, tubular funnel spout, swollen eyes, flattened pointed tail, short legs with large flat feet, perhaps those of a duck. Raised basket handle in the middle of the upper part of the body, “neck” behind the base of the basket-handle missing. Decoration in dark-brown to black matte paint. The sides of the body are decorated identically with two horizontal narrow panels. The lower one, which is narrower than the other, is filled with a frieze of solid triangles, the upper one with tangent hatched triangles. Ladder pattern along the upper part of the body on either side of the handle, transversal bands below the handle. Parallel chevrons on tail, bands around neck, circles around the eye, solid paint on funnel spout and on legs and feet.
