Stele of the sealer Seneb
late 12th/13th Dynasty, ca. 1800-1665 BC
The person who dedicated this stele with cavetto cornice and torus molding was the ‘Sealer of the Director of Construction’ named Seneb. He owned two more steles (ÄS 136 and 156) which he also erected at Abydos. In the lower part of this stele he is shown seated before an offering table. The ‘chapel keeper’ who sits opposite him is also called Seneb.
