Stele of Imen-er-hatef

18th Dynasty, reign of Thutmose IV, ca. 1419–1410 BC

The standard-bearer Imen-er-hatef worships Osiris before whom a heavily laden offering table stands. Imen-er-hatef’s wife holds a bouquet of lotus blossoms. Every occurrence of the Imen / Amun element in the stele owner’s name was hacked out during the reign of Akhenaten (ca. 1360 BC) who introduced the worship of the sole god Aten and banned all other gods.
