Figurine of a dog. Cylindrical body with four short legs and short raised tail. The two front legs are positioned forwards while the hind legs point toward the rear, suggesting that the animal is in motion. Oblong uplifted face, short ears. Muzzle, ears and tail painted red. Eyes painted in black. Band around neck, vertical bands of black and red paint along outer part of legs.Even more frequent than the monkey figurines are the small dog figurines. They are found both in tombs and in sanctuaries and date mainly to the sixth century B. C.
