Stele of Kia

18th Dynasty, reign of Amenhotep II/ Thut- mose IV, ca. 1454-1410 BC

In the upper register of the stele Osiris is enthroned in a baldachin with a winged sun disk above it. Behind the throne stands the goddess Isis. Kia, the owner of the stele, stands with arms raised in prayer in front of an offering table. A large wedjat-eye – a protective device – can be seen above him. In both remaining registers, Kia receives offerings.
