Stele of Imen-mes

early 19th Dynasty, reign of Sety I, ca. 1314-1304 BC

Imen-mes’s son Pa-renen commissioned this stele for his father. In three registers several persons worship the god Osiris. In the bottom register a tree goddess provides Pa-renen and a human-headed ba-bird with water and food. In one hand she holds a tray laden with bread and in the other a vessel from which she pours water.
