Pyramidion of Meri-imen Ra-mesu

19th–20th Dynasty, ca. 1237–1150 BC

A small pyramid-shaped structure crowned with this pyramidion was built above the subterranean burial place of Meri-imen Ra-mesu, a priest at the funerary temple of Ramesses II, the Ramesseum. The depictions on one face of the pyramidion show the tomb owner in an attitude of prayer before Osiris with Isis and Nephthys; on the opposite side he prays to the ram-headed god Amun-Re-Harakhty.
