Seated statue of Cheper-ka-re-seneb

ca. 13th Dynasty or later, 1786-1665 BC

This statue type depicting the subject sitting cross-legged on the ground, his open hands palms upward, is typical for the Middle Kingdom. Equally typical is the long kilt, knotted below the chest, worn by Cheper-ka-re-seneb. The texts inscribed on the kilt’s surface and on the front of the base contain offering formulas.
