Relief from the Memphite tomb of Haremhab

18th Dynasty, reigns of Tutankhamun and Haremhab, 1355–1315 BC

The tomb from which the relief derives was erected when Haremhab was still a general. The text records a speech to Egyptian officers. Haremhab was not buried at Saqqara but in a second, royal tomb in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes. A uraeus-serpent was added secondarily to his figures in the reliefs of his Memphite tomb.
