Stele of the High Priest of Ptah at Memphis Djed-her
223 BC
Djed-her, like his father whose stele (ÄS 153) is very similarly designed, was High Priest of Ptah at Memphis. Several generations of the family occupied this post. The Demotic inscription at the end of the text names his parents and gives the precise dates of his birth, death, and burial, as well as his age: 43 years. 6 months, and 29 days.
