Statue of Kha-em-waset

19th Dynasty, ca. 1250 BC

Kha-em-waset, High Priest of Memphis, was a son of Ramesses II. The statue is unfinished; only the back pillar and some areas of the soles of the feet and the bridges between the upper arms and torso received a final polish. The kneeling figure once held a shrine. The texts on the back pillar contain offering and dedicatory formulas.
