Right foot from a colossal statue

ca. 2000–1100 BC

The foot comes from a colossal statue depicting eighter a king or a god, seated or standing, and which measured between 13 and 20m in height. The dating is uncertain. Perhaps the foot belongs to one of the two colossal seated statues that the 12th Dynasty king Amenemhet III (who reigned from 1843 to 1797 BC) erected in the Faiyum.
