Model of the Giza plateau
2004
The Dynasty IV pyramids of Kings Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure are shown, with smaller queens’ pyramids alongside those of Khufu and Menkaure. A royal pyramid complex included a valley temple at the edge of the cultivation and a long causeway connecting it with the funerary temple on the pyramid’s east side. The Sphinx and the Harmachis Temple can also be seen, as well as the extensive non-royal cemetery around the kings’ pyramids. A red dot marks the position of Ka-ni-nisut’s mastaba. Scale 1:1000
