So-called Pyramid
dated 1653 | Dionysio Miseroni
Dionysio Miseroni created this spectacular vessel from a single large piece of rock crystal. From the basal vase he cut four additional cylinders, which can be stacked into a pyramid. It bears the date 1653 and a dedication to Emperor Ferdinand III. Already during his lifetime, the “pyramid” in the imperial treasury was widely famous.
