False door of Iha

6th Dynasty, ca. 2374–2191 BC

Iha’s fragmented false door was discovered in the chapel of the mastaba of his father Nefer. The narrow tablet shows Iha at the table. His titles are inscribed on both outer jambs of the false door: overseer of purification priests of Khufu’s pyramid, judge, overseer of scribes, priest of Maat, and secretary of judicial verdicts.
