Wappen, Wappentafel, Wappen eines österreichischen Erzherzogs, Wappen von Erzherzog Maximilians III (?), Wappen von Erzherzog Ferdinand II ?

um 1600

The inlaid work shows the coat of arms of an Austrian Archduke, traditionally addtributed to Archduke Maximilian III. Because of the significant Archducal Hat the arm might also belonged to the Tyrolean Sovereign, Archduke Ferdinand II. The emblem is framed by the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Starting in the middle there are the coats of arms of the Habsburgian empires: New Austria, Burgundy, Castile, Tirol, Old Austria, Leon, Hungary and Bohemia, Burgau and Swabia, Styria and Carynthia, Elsass, Kyburg with Pfirt, Krain and Görz with the Windische Mark, Austria upper river Enns, Cilli and Portenau.
