Hostienbüchse, Liturgisches Gerät, Büchse

letztes Viertel 16. Jahrhundert

The gold-plated box for hosts probably forms a set with the incense container, which is also exhibited in the Ambras Kunstkammer. On the lid of the box, there is the coat of arms of Margrave Karl of Burgau (1560-1618), second-born son of Archduke Ferdinand II. and Philippine Welser.
