Deckelhumpen mit dem Wappen der Philippine Welser

vor 1580 | Antonio Montano

The lidded tankard is decorated with enamel paintings and gildings showing the coat of arms of Archduke Ferdinand II, Tyrolean Sovereign, and his first wife Philippine Welser. The form of the thick-walled glass is a little clumsy and monumental. For this reason it is presumed to be made in the older, technically less perfect glassworks in Hall.
