Das Objekt ist seit 1583 in den Ambraser Sammlungen nachweisbar; „Khönig Ludwig in Vnngern, so in ainem mosz errunkhen. Ain ganzer plankhter khürisz, hat kragen und prust, der ruggen, schosz sambt ainer ganzen pruech, auch schienen und schuech alles an einander, ain par achsl, ain par armzug, ain par hantschuech und ain helmelin“ (zit.
