Doorjamb from the tomb of Ked-nes

6th Dynasty or later, ca. 2374–2165 BC

The unfinished doorjamb comes from the entrance to the mastaba and shows the tomb owner Ked-nes and his son Sabi who brings an incense offering to his father. The unproportional rendering of the figures and the forms of the hieroglyphs are typical for the late Old Kingdom and the 1st Intermediate Period.
