Vorhängeschloss, Werkzeug, Gerät

16. Jahrhundert

The padlock is one of a whole series of comparable wrought-iron locks in the Ambras Castle collection. They most probably date from the time of Archduke Ferdinand II and were kept in the seventh showcase of the Ambras Kunstkammer. It is not clear whether these are real tools or more representative pieces from the Kunstkammer.
