Stele of Nefer-waut

late 12th–13th Dynasty, ca. 1790–1660 BC

The scene depicted below the protective symbols – shen-ring and the so-called wedjat-eye – in the gable shows the stele owner and his wife at table. The names of three persons are inscribed in the upper register of text; the second register contains an offering formula for the god Osiris which concludes with the names of Nefer-waut and Ju-seni.
