St. Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene weeps tears of regret at her previously sinful life. This saint is symbolised by the ointment pot. It is a reminder of the incident described in the gospels when, at Simon’s banquet, Mary washed Christ’s feet with her tears, then anointed and dried them with her hair.
