Queen’s headdress
19th –20th Dynasty, ca. 1315–1081 BC
The headdress was part of an over lifesized statue with back pillar. Since the Middle King dom, the headgear worn by queens included a pair of falcon feathers. The combination of cow horns and sun disk was an attribute of the goddess Hathor while the uraeusdiadem expressed a relationship to the sun god Re.
