Lavinia (?)

Although a certain physiognomic similarity exists with Titian’s certain portrait of his daughter Lavinia, the identity of those depicted as well as the attribution of the picture have both been doubted. Even though the corsage part of the picture lacks the brilliance of his own works, the gold trimming, reproduced with loose nuances, as well as the aristocratic lady’s fan, evoked with a few strokes of the brush, point to the work of the Master.
