Anthropomorphe Form

2000 - 1900 v. Chr.

Plank-shaped idol of a human figure with red polished surface. Long rectangular face and neck, stump short arms (left one missing), rounded corners at the lower part of body. The neck and face are slightly narrower than the body. The nose is shown by a vertical groove. Two horizontal grooves for the eyes. A narrow horizontal band across the forehead filled with oblique strokes, probably indicating a crown or wreath. Two parallel grooved horizontal bands around the neck below the nose, filled with oblique strokes. A similar, slightly curving band at the lower part of the neck and a second one, more curved than the previous one, from one shoulder to the other. At the back there are four horizontal rows of oblique grooved strokes, indicating the hair. Three horizontal lines on the arms. Two horizontal grooved bands filled with oblique strokes at the level of the waist or slightly below it.
