Deckelpokal, Pokal, Bergkristallpokal, Bergkristall

2. Hälfte 17. Jahrhundert

The goblet was propably produced in Innsbruck. The stonecutters did not use tenon joints and connecting sleeves, thus they were able to give their rock crystal goblets a consistent appearance, similar to glass art. Through the unique shape suggests that it was probably made by the crystal cutters who worked at Innsbruck’s court. The goblet was made for every day usage; therefore the cup is not mentioned in the inventories of Ambras Castle.
