Two Artists, Three Cities, Three Perspectives

Outstanding works by Giovanni Antonio Canal (1697–1768), more commonly known as Canaletto, and his nephew Bernardo Bellotto (1721–1780) take centre stage in the upcoming spring exhibition at the Kunsthistorisches Museum.

For the first time in the German-speaking world, the exhibition places Canaletto’s and Bellotto’s views of Venice, London and Vienna into a thought-provoking dialogue. Alongside selected masterpieces by the famous Venetian vedutisti, the show offers fresh insights into the interplay of art, urbanity, and society in the eighteenth century.

This tour visits the exhibition "Canaletto & Bellotto".
