Touching desired
20 April 2021
Conversation with Rotraut Krall, Head of Art Education
(in German language)

For more than 10 years, the Kunsthistorisches Museum has offered a varied programme of guided tours for people with special needs. While this initially focussed on blind and visually impaired people, today a broad spectrum of art education takes place on a regular basis, taking into account the most diverse forms of impairment. Numerous project grants have supported the endeavours, so that the unspoken request ‘Touch desired’ has long been appreciated by all visitors. The talk aims to scrutinise the challenges, the technological possibilities, but above all the added value of such offers for the museum and for society as a whole.
