The book as an exhibition space
Conversation with the artist, curator and publisher Bernhard Cella
(in German language)

Bernhard Cella's work addresses contemporary forms of visual art that transform models of production and distribution. In 2007, he founded the Salon für Kunstbuch in Vienna, an ‘organisational undertaking as a work of art’ that combines his theoretical and research activities as well as his publishing work with a series of temporary performative settings, exhibitions and discussion formats.
Benjamin Mayr, editor of the publications department of the KHM-Museumsverband, talks to Bernhard Cella about publishing as an artistic activity, the significance of the museum as an institution for the medium of the art book, as well as collecting and exhibiting publications in the exhibition space.
