Infinite beauty - Titian's women in the 17th century

The lecture by Stefan Albl - from the Institute of Art History at the University of Vienna - will shed light on the reception of Titian's images of women in 17th century painting. By analysing selected works by Annibale Carracci, Nicolas Poussin, Rubens and Van Dyck, he will highlight Titian's important role in the theory and practice of 17th century image production.
