The red and pink (rosecoloured?) corals are fixed onto a base made of wood and gypsum. Corals like these ones, some more similar pieces are existing, were mostly combined with sea- and snailshells. A large number of such groups are mentioned in the inventory of estate of Archduke Ferdinand II in 1596.
