The portrait shows Enrico Gonzalez the son of »The Hairy Man« Pedro Gonzalez, who had in opposite to his elder brother the same strong covering of hair (Hypertrichosis universalis congenita) as his father. In 1602 he married in Capodimonte (lake of Bolsena in Latium) a local woman, Girolama Cintura, with whom he again had a hairy son.
