Coffin with the mummy of An-em-hor

3rd–2nd century BC

The inscription on the lid gives several of An-emhor’s priestly titles which associate him with the Temple of Ptah at Memphis, and the names of his parents. Cartonage is the material employed for the mummy mask, the collar-like necklace with a pectoral, the goddess Nut with her outstretched wings, a band of texts with the offering formulae, and the soles of the sandals on the feet.
