Vittoria’s portrait busts are informed both by classical antiquity and the paintings of Titian. Their restrained elegance well represents the refined taste of the Venetian nobility. Here he depicts Angela Loredan, the wife of Senator Antonio Zorzi, without undue flattery as a dignified matron. The bust once stood in the atrium of the Palazzo Zorzi together with other family portraits.
