Queen Eleanor of Austria

Eleanor (1498–1558), the daughter of Philip I the Handsome and elder sister of Emperor Charles V, married King Francis I of France after losing her first husband, the king of Portugal. The portrait was painted while Joos van Cleves was staying at the French court.
