Schwarzes Hofkleid der Kaiserin Elisabeth
Dieses prachtvolle Kleid aus schwarzer Moireeseide mit Spitzenbesatz und reicher Jetperlen-Stickerei ist vollkommen unverändert erhalten geblieben. So dokumentiert es eindrucksvoll die hohe, schlanke Gestalt der Kaiserin mit der unglaublich schmalen, längsovalen „Wiener Wespentaille“. Als kostbares Erinnerungsstück wurde es im Kaiserhaus aufbewahrt und schließlich 1962 dem Kunsthistorischen Museum übergeben. (MKR)
