Fischförmige Schminkpalette

Auf einfachen rhombischen Paletten wurden zur Herstellung von Augenschminke Pigmentkügelchen zerrieben und mit Fett vermischt. Paletten, die als Grabbeigabe dienten, wurden häufig in Tierform gestaltet. Der hier wiedergegebene Fisch ist der Nilfisch Tilapia nilotica, der als Garant der Wiederbelebung und auch als Symbol der Fruchtbarkeit gilt.
