Kopf eines Sphinx Sesostris' III.
Im Gegensatz zu den meist idealisierenden Bildnissen zeigt dieser Kopf den König mit sehr ernsten und harten Gesichtszügen. Aufgrund stilistischer Merkmale kann der König als Sesostris III. identifiziert werden. Da das Königskopftuch im Rücken weit nach hinten ausschwingt, muß es sich um den Kopf einer Sphinx-Statue handeln.
