Oboe

In der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich die Klappenmechanik der Oboe rasant weiter. Waren um 1810 weitgehend noch zweiklappige Modelle in Gebrauch, lehrte Joseph Sellner 1825 in seiner Oboen-Schule das Spiel von bereits zehnklappigen Instrumenten. So wurde bei den neueren Oboen der Umfang in der Tiefe um den Ton h erweitert und Klappen für die Töne cis, f, (fis), gis und b (sowie die c-Trillerklappe) montiert. Man rückte dem Ziel näher, sämtliche Tonverbindungen in allen Tonarten technisch zuverlässig, teilweise mit alternativen Griffen (f-Klappe) und mit sauberer Intonation zu spielen. (bd)
