Hypnos, der Gott des Schlafes, eilt als nackter Jüngling wie im Flug dahin. In der vorgestreckten Rechten hält er ein Horn, aus dem er den Schlaf bringenden Saft verströmen lässt, die gesenkte Linke hielt Mohnkapseln. Die Statuette ist die verkleinerte Nachbildung eines griechischen Originalwerks, das meist mit Künstlern des 4. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. (Praxiteles, Skopas, Leochares) in Verbindung gebracht wird.
