This dark-green and yellow trimmed mail coach was built by Jacob Lohner in collaboration with a number of other coach-makers. Its tri-part body featuring eight windows sits on a double spring fore-framework with a treble spring back-framework. It originally served as a coach for members of the imperial suite; after 1906, however, it was no longer used by the court. In 1907, it was driven by the grand equerry himself during the annual parade in Vienna's Prater. Later, trainee-officers could borrow the coach for long drives. (MKR)
