around 1740/50 , Draft: Balthasar Ferdinand Moll (?)
The completely gold-plated one-seater sleigh is an outstanding example of the pinnacle of baroque sleigh tradition in central Europe. The wood-carved, shell-shaped body is solidly fixed to the richly sculptured undercarriage. The runners and supports are so covered with high-quality artistically carved ornaments that their technical function can hardly be recognised anymore and the shell-shaped seat must have appeared to float above the rocailles.
