Der Fries bildete wahrscheinlich den vorderen Teil eines größeren Blockes. Er dürfte zur Platte eines Altares gehören. Die Köpfe der Tiere sind einzeln herausgearbeitet, die Hörner sind miteinander verbunden. Nur bei den beiden äußeren Tieren sind auch die Körper im Relief angegeben.
