Ekstase der hl. Theresa von Ávila

Das Tonrelief zeigt die Vision der hl. Teresa von Ávila, die sie während eines Gebetes in Ekstase erlebt: Ein Engel erscheint, der ihr mit dem Pfeil der göttlichen Liebe das Herz durchbohrt. Die Komposition orientiert sich am Vorbild einer Marmorgruppe desselben Themas, die der berühmteste Bildhauer des römischen Hochbarock, Gianlorenzo Bernini, um 1650 für die Kirche Santa Maria della Vittoria schuf.
