Kontragitarre

Bei dieser Kontragitarre sind neben den sechs Griffsaiten bis zu sieben Basssaiten angebracht, die nicht über das Griffbrett laufen. Sie sind diatonisch gestimmt und ergeben die jeweiligen Basstöne. Die Gitarre übernimmt daher eine Doppelfunktion als Akkord- und Bassinstrument. In der Mitte des Corpus ist zu dessen Verstärkung ein Metallstab eingezogen. (bd)
